Projection Screenspad

Whether you’re shopping for a new projection screen for your Home Theater, Boardroom or Classroom, we have what you need. Available screens include; manual pull down, electric, fixed frame, tripod, truss framed and more. Currently, we have over 8,000 projections screens by Da-Lite and Draper available to be purchased on-line or by phone.

Things to consider when buying a projection screen:

  1. Make and model of the projector you'll be using. The projector's lumen rating will be a key factor in deciding the proper screen size and/or material gain you should choose. A great tool to use is our Projector Throw Distance Calculator, simply select the manufacturer and model of your projector. For best results, the Foot Candles (FC) should fall between 20 and 50.
  2. Audience seating distance: Ideally, the first row of seats should be approximately 1.5 screen widths away from the screen.
  3. Ambient room light. Are you able to control the light in the room? In the classroom or boardroom ambient light is almost always a problem. These rooms probably were not intended for projectors. Windows may not have shades or curtains. And the viewers most likely need at least minimum light for taking notes. Normally, your only choice is a high gain screen while sacrificing contrast. On the other hand, dedicated Home Theaters are usually designed solely for a cinema like experience. Windows will have heavy curtains or shades. And the walls, ceiling and floor will be dark, low reflective colors.

If you need help selecting the right screen for you, please feel free to give us a call at 800-256-5977 or send us an e-mail.
